Xuseen Xasan & Mangalool

Xuseen Xasan Rooble Suldaan Guuleed oo ku caan baxay gabayaanimada iyo geesnimada ayaanu sheekadan u soo tebiyey ninkii Delamere(1) hordhac uga dhigaynay qiimaa farduu u lahaayeen isaga Xuseen ahaan iyo ragii hore idil ahaan. Ninka Xuseen Xasan wakhtigaas ay is arkeen Lord Delmere oo ahaa 1891 mudo aad uga sii horaysay ayaa gabyaagii Nuur Ducaale Suldaan Guuleed oo adeer ahaan ugu toosan Xuseen faraskiisi Man-Galool damcay inu ka iibsado, Nuur baa yidhi faraska ugu fiican fardaa waxa la siistaa 3 qaalimood ee imisaad iga siinaysaa, Xuseen baa yidhi bal sheego imisaad ku iibsan lahayd Man-Galool. Nuur baa yidhi 13 halaad, Xuseen baa ugu jawaabay hal kadin kaamaan siiyeen, Nuur baa yidhi kadinka laftiisaan kaa siisan.

Nuur baa aabbihii Ducaale Aftaag u yimi oo yidhi aabbo hal kadin oo geela ah baan rabaa. Ducaale oo yaabay baa weydiiyey waxa uu kadinka geela ah ku samaynayo. Nuurna wuxu aabbihiis u sheegay inuu damacsan yahay inu faraska Mangalool ee Xuseen Xasan oo aan faras u dhigmaa geyiga joogin uu ka bixinayo. Nuur Dhegacun oo gabyaagii Salaan Carrabey ku halqabsan jirey ahaa aabbihiis aad buu ugu dhaadan jirey waana ka yeelay arrinkii oo hawraarsan iyo geela kadin ka xulo ayaa ku yidhi.

Maalintii mudadu gaadhay baa Nuur ku yidhi Xuseen kadinkii geela waa la hayaaye mee faraskii Man-Galool, Xuseen Xasan baa ugu jawaabay "geela reer Ducaale waa 3 kadin , 3da kadinba markay soo xaroodaan baan hal kadin ka sooconayaa". Waxa arrinkaasi ka cadhaysiiyey Nuur oo Xuseen Xasan ku yidhi " arinkaagu Xuseenow waa reerka saboolee ee faras iibin kaama aha" oo halkii ka dhaqaaqay.

Nuur oo digashadii Xuseen ka cadhaysan baa walaashii Aamina Ducaale Suldaan (Aamina-Cawrala) Suldaan Xirsi Amaan (1824-1883) u soo geed fadhiistay u soo geed fadhiistay. Nuur baa raggii arrinta isaga iyo Xuseen dhexmartay ogaa ku yidhi "faraskii faraska Man-Galool ka reebi lahaa seeddigaa baa wata oo waa faraska Siig-Cadar", markii gabadhii loo raray dagaanka Xirsi, baa Nuur yidhi Suldaanka ayaan soo waydiisanayaa faraska, markaas baa loo dardaarweriyey oo la yidhi Xirsi Amaan 2 jeer oo hore ayuu reer Ducaale gabadha ku halxidhaaleeyay, Suldaankuna waa gacan adagyee anaku ku raaci mayno. Nuur baa kaligii u baxay Ceeg iyo bari. Markuu gurya tegey ayuu Nuur ujeedada socdaalkiisa uga warramay Suldaanka. Nuur baa gabayga ku horeeyay oo yidhi:

Suldaanow Si-Godan baan ka imi, Sud iyo Geel-luude
Socdaalkaygu wuxu soo taxnaa, laba sagaalaade
Soor iyo qadoodaan arkoo,  waa samaan idil'e
Sinta Xididdaley bay beeshayadi , saatan ka ahayde
Idina waa Sanyare meesha aad, sahansanaysaane
Suldaanow ilmaabtaynu nahay, seedi weheshaaye
Man-Galool sidaan uga sawhiyay, weli ma saar goyne
Samrina maayo oo Aaminaa, sabada Ceeg taal'e
Siig-Cadar ma lay siin barraan, subax tagayaaye
Mise waan socdaa Eebbahay saatiraa jira'e.

Xirsi Amaan baa maalintii danbe isagoon weli jawaab ka bixin intu faraskii Siig u raray weliba Nuur  sidatan ugu jawaabay oo yidhi:

Faraskaan shisheeyiyo u galay, shuunka Maxamuudka
Farsakaan markii laga shakiyay, laba shanaad siistay
Farasakaan shirrabihiis ku daray, sidigtii Dhool-Shaaxin
Waa shay-mug le ee bagaan, Cadar ku shakamadeeyay
Shaalkiyo bagaan kuugu guray, shuqul bilaadeedka
Nimankaad shaxayseen bagaan, sharad ku beeneeyay*
Shukrina waxan ku naqayaa inaan shiqib ku weynaanin.

(
*tuduc 6aad wuxu sheegayaa raggi ciidagale ee ku xantay gacan adayga).

Faraska Siig-Cadar ilaa 20 gabay oo amaan ah Nuur Dhagacun waa ka tiriyay waxa ka mid ahaa :

Halkaa ceelka Awaare,
Cishadaan ka waraabshee,
Casarkii ka dhaqaajo,
Ciddi-jiidkiyo luudka,
Ma caruus gabadhoo
La carraabinayaa?

Haddii aan cadho maalin,
Ciyaarteeda u saaro,
Ma cambaarka gu'oo,
Caydh ku daadanayaa?

Curadkii habartay iyo,
Cismaankii ina Biixi,
Haddaan Siig-Cadarow,
Cid kaleeto ku siiyo,
Cad Xaaran ah iyo duuf,
Anigoo cunay weeye!

Ugu danbayntii faraskii Siig wuxu u gacan galay Cise Muuse oo col uu ka mid ahaa Qawdhan Ducaale abaanduule na ka ahaa nin la odhan jiray Baahane baa Ciise Muuse galay. Ciise Muuse jar bay colkii u galeen 60 nin iyo faraskiina waa la hadheen colkii Baahane waxa aan ahayn xoogaa adhi ah mooyee wax kale kamay helin, Qawdhan oo nin yar ah waagaas ayaa ku calaacalay:

Allahayow BullaySane sideen, ugu basiiroobay
Sideebaan colkii Badhe-Tare, iyo Baahane u eeday
Bullaale iyo hadduu geel ku tago, uma baroorteene
Baraar iyo idaa lagula hadhay badhax la moodkiiye.

(1) This pony of Hassan's was the best I ever saw in Somaliland. He would not put a price on it because, he said, he could make quite a respectable income by going on looting expeditions on its back , as it was so fast nobody could catch him.

A years after this I met Hassan again and asked him how his pony was. He said it was very well, but he had nearly lost it a short time before. He had been down in the waterless plain on a looting expedition with some other Eidegalla warriors. After a successful raid they spilt up to avoid pursuit, and Hassan was on his way home driving some of the looted camels in front of him. It was a very dry year, and although it was in the rainy season he had been unable to find any water in the pools to give to his pony. The result was that having been riden hard for tow or three days with little or no water to drink, the pony got beat, and at last lay down about twenty miles from the wells they were making for.

No amount of stick would get it on its legs again, and Hassan was in despair. He knew that there were no villages at the wells where he could possibly get a vessel to carry water back for the pony, and it seemed as if nothing be done to save it.

At last he thought of a plan. Driving the camels at top speed to the wells, he gave them as much as water as they could drink and then hurried them back again. He found the pony where he had left it, in a very bad way, but immediately proceeding to kill and cut open the camels, he took the water out of their stomachs and gave it to the pony, which revived sufficiently to struggle on to the wells. After a few days rest, it completely recovred. Hassan added that he could very soon get some more camels and that he would rather have cut the throats of a hundred than have lost his pony.
